Grand Finale Derana Miss Sri Lanka 2009

A 22 year old Gamya Prasadini Wijayadasa from Malabe was named Miss Sri Lanka 2009 on wednesday July 22, 2009 beating 11 beauty queens. For the first time in Sri Lanka pageant history, Miss Sri Lanka got to keep a pure silver sceptre flown all the way from New York courtesy Bullion Exchange jewellers.

Gamya Prasadini won Miss Sri Lanka 2009 beauty pageant held yesterday at Mount Lavinia Hotel Sri Lanka.Runnersup are Shermali Perera and Ayeshani Dulangi.

Top 5 Contestants at Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2009. Nithya, Shermila, Gamya, Ayeshani and Isuri.

Top 11 Contestants at Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2009

Gamya also won "Miss Veet Beautiful Skin", "Miss Veet Beautiful Legs" and "Miss Personality" mini pageant too. Shermali won the title of "Miss Veet Top Model". Ayeshani won the title of "Miss Beautiful Eyes" and "Miss Clean & Clear Clearest Skin"

Final Night of Miss Sri Lanka 2009 on July 22,2009

The Glamours night is just around the corner. Tomorrow(July 22, 2009) will be the final night of 11 local beauties for the prestigious title of Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2009 at the Mount Lavinia Hotel Sri Lanka. The winner will represent Sri lanka at the Miss World pageant to be held in this year. Who will be our beauty queen???



The 11 finalist are Ayeshani Dulangi, Dharani Sinduja, Gamya Prasadini, Gayathri Mendis, Isuri Dilshani, Lakshi Heshani, Nadeesha Yapage, Nilukshi Amanda, Nithya Samanmali, Ruwani Weerasuriya and Shimali Perera.
